NIGEL & MICHELLE · THE FOUNDING 20
Your next chapter together
Two date adventures. Sixty days.
More attention, laughter, and intention.
Your participant guide
Welcome to the experience
We are glad you are making space for each other. After 31 years together and 26 years of marriage, we are still discovering that connection grows through the moments we choose to create.
This complimentary pilot invites you to try two intentional date adventures and tell us honestly what worked for you. A meaningful date does not need a flight, an expensive dinner, or a perfect relationship.
Your start date will be confirmed by email. Your 60-day window begins on that date. You can read this guide and prepare now; there is no need to book or spend anything before then.
There is no membership fee. Any optional food, transport, tickets, or activity costs are yours to choose within a budget you both agree to. Every challenge includes an at-home option.
Before your first date
- Agree on a comfortable budget in your own currency, including a zero-cost option.
- Choose two possible date windows and decide who will handle practical arrangements.
- Discuss access, mobility, food, childcare, and timing needs. Choose activities that work for both of you.
- Give each other permission to pass on a question or change an activity. Keep the experience kind and pressure-free.
Your 60-day rhythm
First half · Days 1–30
Prepare together, enjoy Date 1, then share your feedback. Try one small daily connection habit between dates.
Second half · Days 31–60
Enjoy Date 2, share your feedback, and choose one habit you want to keep beyond the pilot.
These are flexible planning windows, not a race. If life changes your plans, reply to your program email so we can help you adjust.
DATE ADVENTURE 1 · FIRST HALF OF YOUR PILOT
Rediscover Us
Allow 60–90 minutes. The aim is to enjoy something familiar while seeing each other with fresh eyes.
1. Create your setting
Choose one: an at-home picnic with food you already have; a visit to a place that holds a happy memory; or a short, accessible walk followed by a drink or snack. Each partner chooses one song connected to a good memory together.
For an at-home date, change one small thing: set a different table, spread a blanket, dress intentionally, or create a little corner that feels separate from everyday tasks.
2. Take a memory walk
Spend about 20 minutes sharing the stories behind your songs or your chosen place. Each person completes: “One moment with you that still makes me smile is…” Listen to the whole story before adding your own.
3. Meet who your partner is today
Take turns with these questions. Give each person a few uninterrupted minutes; curiosity matters more than having the perfect answer.
- What has been giving you joy lately that I may not have noticed?
- What is something you are learning about yourself in this season?
- What small gesture from me helps you feel seen?
- What is one thing you would love us to make more room for?
4. Choose one small intention
Each person names one specific thing they appreciate about the other. Then agree on one simple action for the next seven days: a ten-minute check-in, a warm greeting, a short walk, or a phone-free cup of tea.
Finish with: “One thing I rediscovered about you today is…”

Try Something New Together
Allow 60–120 minutes. The aim is to be teammates in a shared first, with room to laugh and learn.
1. Choose a small shared first
Each partner suggests two ideas. Choose one you both genuinely want to try, within your agreed budget. Keep the plan a shared choice; a surprise should never override a boundary.
- At home: make a dish you have never prepared together using affordable ingredients, create a playlist and learn a few dance steps, or build a small creative project from supplies you already own.
- Nearby: explore a new-to-you public space, try an accessible walking or photo challenge, or choose a local activity with a cost you have checked and agreed to first.
“New” can be as simple as switching roles. One person can choose the activity while the other handles the music or snack. Travel and paid tickets are not required.
2. Be teammates, not judges
Before you begin, finish this sentence: “Today will feel good for me if…” During the activity, let each person contribute, ask for help, and notice one thing your partner does well. Put phones away except when needed for the activity.
3. Pause and notice
Take a short break together. Name something that surprised you or made you laugh. A photo is optional and can remain just for the two of you.
4. Bring the discovery home
- When did we work well together today?
- What did I notice or appreciate about you?
- What helped me feel supported?
- What small adventure would we like to plan next?
Finish with: “Something I want to keep choosing with you is…”
SHARE DATE 2 FEEDBACKYour honest feedback matters
Use the same feedback form after each date and select Date 1 or Date 2. Aim to respond while the experience is fresh, ideally within 48 hours. A short, honest response is enough.
You may respond together, or each partner may submit their own perspective. Use the email address on your application so we can match the response to your couple. Put the respondent's name first in the names field.
For the connection question, use 1 for distant and 5 for very connected. For example: “Before: 2. After: 4.” This is a personal reflection, not a score for your partner or a test you must pass.
Your responses go to Nigel & Michelle and are not posted publicly. Please avoid sensitive personal details. Feedback does not grant permission to publish your words, photos, or story.
If the form does not submit, email your date number, first names, before-and-after connection ratings, meaningful moment, and suggestions to hello@nigelmichelle.com. Please leave out sensitive personal details.
OPEN THE FEEDBACK FORMAs your 60 days come to a close
Look back together: What felt different? What did we enjoy? What should we keep doing? Choose one shared habit and put your next date in the calendar. Include any final pilot suggestions in your Date 2 feedback.
